Week 2

I was not able to make it over to Cockatoo Island to see the full Biennale exhibit. But I did go to the Museum of Contemporary Arts.

A couple pieces i found interesting were:
The snakes painted in the glass bottles.
The first piece with the many paper boxes and motion sensored sound.

The piece that i found most exciting was the spectrum reflection fan. A fan spun a piece of fishing line over a light. As it spun it created a rainbow effect. I love when science and art compine.

I was disturbed by the spiderman staring at the old man coming out of the wall: This piece was meant to challenge cultural images.

Another piece that I was intrigued by was the video that seemed like it was a bodily function. It turned my stomach to watch it but at the same time to be able to create it all in CG is really cool. The music used along with the video seemed to draw you in and make the visual much less gruesome.
